The Last Sunday after Pentecost ends the liturgical year. It is known as the ‘Feast of Christ the King,’ or ‘the Reign of Christ.’ It is an appropriate ending to one liturgical year and a bridge to a new liturgical year. His reign is transforming us and all creation in keeping with God’s good and loving purpose. And so, we pray: “thy kingdom come” as we go about the work of his kingdom in our lives and in the world..
