A Warm Welcome Awaits You
At St. Barnabas Anglican Church, we embrace tradition and community to create a sanctuary for all. Whether exploring faith or seeking a place to belong, we offer a warm, inclusive space.

Our Story
Where Tradition & Community Come Together
St. Barnabas Anglican Church has been a beacon of faith and community since 1870. Founded to serve the working class, the church was built on a foundation of inclusivity and care for all, regardless of background or status. Over the years, our historic stone building has become a sacred space where tradition and spirituality come alive through sensory-rich worship and timeless liturgy.
From our early days as a mission of St. George’s Church to our vibrant present, St. Barnabas has remained committed to outreach and service. Located in the heart of St. Catharines, we strive to uplift our neighbours through ministries that reflect Christ’s love. Through it all, we have stayed true to our mission: to be a place where heaven and earth meet, and all are welcome to experience God’s grace.

What Makes St. Barnabas Special
An Anglo-Catholic Church with a Unique Mission
At St. Barnabas Anglican Church, we embrace a rich Anglo-Catholic tradition that is both timeless and transformative. Our worship is a sensory experience featuring incense, chanting, and traditional hymns that connect us to centuries of sacred practices. Every service is designed to uplift the soul and bring the congregation closer to God.
What truly sets us apart is our commitment to inclusivity and service. Located in a diverse community, we welcome people from all walks of life, treating everyone with equal respect and dignity. Through outreach programs, feeding ministries, and partnerships with local organizations, we strive to make a tangible difference in the lives of our neighbours. St. Barnabas is more than a church – it’s a sanctuary where faith, tradition, and compassion meet.
