We are all keenly aware that uncertainty, risk and disappointment are a part of life. But how shall we cope with the uneasiness and queasy feelings that befall us in the concrete reality of our daily lives? Today’s readings (1 Samuel 1:4-20; Hebrews 10:11-25; Mark 13:1-8) encourage putting our hope and trust in a faithful God and the saving work of Jesus Christ.
